Digital Inclusion Network

“Digital” means different things to different people. For some, Digital is about laptops and the internet, or a Smart Speaker such as Alexa. For others, it’s as simple as a hands-free telephone that enables them to be comfortable while keeping in touch.

The Digital Network aims to help people across East Renfrewshire access the most suitable digital device, internet connection and the skills required to use digital platforms. We work with experts such as West College Scotland and Ability Net to ensure everyone in the community can participate, enabling people to learn new skills for life.

Our initiatives include:

    • Providing access to “how-to guides”.
    • Introducing people to the best organisation to support their needs.
    • Informing people where they can access free Wi-Fi in their community and support from Digital Champion volunteers.

These initiatives are led by organisations and volunteers who share ideas and resources, ensuring we are constantly adapting to the community.
